KDN Performance Shift-Cut Knob

Fast. Precise. Affordable.

The KDN Shift-Cut Knob is the perfect entry point into clutchless shifting for dogbox and sequential transmission setups. Designed to deliver the same function as a strain-gauge knob, it triggers igniton or fuel cuts through your ECU, but at a fraction of the cost.

Built in-house and engineered for wide-open throttle (WOT) shifts, the knob uses a dual microswitch system that activates instantly when you apply force during a shift. This signal momentarily cuts torque, allowing for smooth, clutchless upshifts without lifting off the throttle.

This microswitch-based design offers rock-solid reliability, simple wiring, and consistent performance, all in a CNC-machined aluminum housing made to withstand years of hard racing.

Features:

  • Dual internal microswitches for reliable, redundant signal activation

  • Enables clutchless upshifts under full throttle

  • CNC-machined from aluminum, no plastic components

  • 100% Canadian-made

  • Includes Deutsch connector with 6" pigtail

  • Compatible with standalone ECUs and KDN Shifters

  • M12×1.75 , M10X1.50 AND 3/8-16 thread pitch are available

  • Available in plain or knurled finish

Wiring Guide:

  • Pin 1: Signal IN – accepts Ground, 5V, or 12V input (do not exceed 12V; 16V will damage the switches)

  • Pin 2: Signal OUT – connects to ECU trigger input
(Switches are wired in parallel for redundancy and can be used in either direction depending on ECU setup.)

Built in-house. Built to perform.

Goldie, XFWD K-Series Record Holder

Goldie set the XFWD K-Series record in 2021, at the very first race running a KDN shifter and Shift Selector. Four years later, in 2025, we reset the record again, holding the top spot the entire time with the same KDN components in the car. Consistency and engineering you can trust.
