KDN Performance H-Pattern Shifter – TREMEC Magnum XL Applications

After more than a year of development and testing, KDN Performance brings its shifter platform to the RWD market. The Magnum XL H-Pattern Shifter was designed from the ground up for a tight, precise and clean shift feel, with rigid billet construction and a simple bolt-in installation. No shift-gate adjustment. No calibration. Install it and shift.

Available in two configurations:

• Street Version the same precise billet platform with a traditional unrestricted 6-speed H-pattern. Ideal for street cars, road course and track cars, and performance builds.
• Lockout Version adds our mechanical money-shift protection for serious street and race applications.

Money-Shift Protection (Lockout Version)

At high RPM, grabbing the wrong gear can cost you an engine, a transmission or an entire race weekend. The KDN lockout mechanically controls the shifter's path through the H-pattern to help prevent the two most damaging missed shifts 1st–2nd–1st and 2nd–3rd–2nd. Once you commit to the shift, the system guides you toward the correct next gear.

No electronics. No solenoids controlling forward gear selection. No adjustment. It works straight out of the box.

An optional 6-speed lockout adds 3rd–4th–3rd protection through the upper gears, and can be added later if your program changes.

Race Mode / Street Mode

Engaged, the lockout controls lateral movement through the critical gear changes. Disengaged, you get full conventional H-pattern movement. Mechanical money-shift protection when you want it normal street driving when you don't.

Put the Shifter Where You Want It

Every chassis, seat position and console is different. Optional offset links in 1", 2", 3" and 4" let you place the knob where it feels natural, and each link clocks in 45-degree increments for 8 positions through a full 360-degree rotation forward, back, left, right or anywhere in between. Position the shifter around the driver instead of building the car around the shifter.

Fitment: This page is specifically for TREMEC Magnum XL 6-speed RWD transmissions. KDN versions for T56, TREMEC Magnum and TR-6060 use different mounting configurations  make sure you select the correct shifter for your transmission.
